About Shawn

Shawn started her creative life early by making functional fiber crafts as a child during the long, cold, snowy winters she endured in Wisconsin. After a regrettable stage of wearing boys’ corduroys and plaid shirts in the late 70’s, Shawn came back to sewing as a way to cultivate her personal style.  She’s taught fiber arts and sewing to adults and children, and is an advocate for slow fashion and conscious consumption. The favorite part of her day is the hour or two she spends knitting each evening sharing the couch with her husband and three dogs.
